Who wouldn't like an app that makes your life—and making time for your yoga practice—just a little bit easier?
Picture this: It's Wednesday afternoon, your morning coffee buzz has officially worn off, you forgot to label your Greek yogurt and now it's missing from the fridge, you have a 4:30 meeting (which means you'll probably miss your 5:30 train), and you've got to make it to a 7:30 dinner date… Is your head spinning yet? We've all been there. Our days are inherently busy, and whether we've allotted for the chaos or not, it's almost always there.
Making time for "me time" isn't always easy, and unfortunately when to-do lists are ever-growing it becomes less of a priority, too. When you finally get home you make eye contact with your once-well-loved yoga mat and—though you know it's not really possible—you can almost feel its disappointment in going another day unused.
Well, meet your new best friend. Easypose is a new app that brings yoga straight to you. With just a click of a button you'll have one-on-one yoga practice whenever and wherever you want. No more yoga studios, no more guilt over grossly underused memberships, and no more hiding in the back row in class. As Easypose promises, you get your to enjoy your yoga "on your terms."
So, how does it work? Think of it as if Seamless and Uber had a baby—you can get exactly what you want, from wherever you are (home or office!). Sign up as a student, add in the address from where you'd like to have your private session, and the app will reveal teachers that are in your area.
Students can choose from five different one-hour classes: basic flow, children's yoga, meditation, restorative, and yoga therapy. You can also choose your group size, which of course can be just you on your own or up to 20 people. Link your credit card, choose a "package"—you can choose to pay for one session at a time, or pay for a package (of up to 16 sessions) for a discounted rate—and you're good to go!
Alternatively, this app is great for yoga teachers, too. It's an awesome and innovative way to gain exposure in your area, and of course to be able to gain more teaching experience as well. When you sign up you can choose the cities you'll be able to teach in and the yoga classes you teach. All teachers for Easypose must be certified.
Currently, yoga session through Easypose are only available in California and the Tri-state New York region. Learn more about the app, and sign up as a teacher or student here.
