blue green boost

what is it about tuesday?
somehow, i find it more difficult to not reach for the snooze button
on tuesday than monday. 
i used to have this conversation with my mom all the time
when i was little. i never understood the purpose of tuesday.
monday - beginning of the week
wednesday - middle of the week
thursday - almost friday
friday - friYAY, weekend is here!
saturday - just the best day ever
sunday - relax and reboot for the week
so, what is tuesday's role? 

i'm still not sure. 
but, i'm determined to not be a tuesday hater
so, today,
i've decided to make this fine sunshine-y tuesday
my blue-green boost day
to keep me feeling fueled up and ready to take on 
the rest of the week. 

what better way to start the day than with a 
superfood green smoothie?

what you'll need 
to make a superfood // super-delicious 
blue-green boost:

moondeli's blue green protein
almond milk
chia seeds
shaved, unsweetened coconut
plant based vanilla protein powder
almond butter (unsalted, creamy)

i use a magic bullet 
to start, i fill the bottom with just about an inch of water
this way, when the dry ingredients go in they will mix well
instead of collecting at the bottom. 


1 tsp blue green protein
a splash of almond milk
1 tablespoon chia seeds
1 tablespoon shaved, unsweetened coconut
1 scoop plant based vanilla protein powder
1/2 of a banana
1 tbsp almond butter 
handful of ice

make it waste-free:
pour into a mason jar (or your on-the-go mug of choice)
and enjoy with a reusable stainless steel straw
